PIRATES OF THE BATTLEFIELD (Campaign Addition)

Made of cutouts with rows of infantry and rows of artillery, representing combat power.

Treat units like a ship

  • Number of flags
  • Officers and cargo can cary
  • Speed
  • Infantry shots
  • Artillery shots

Movement must be half S for slow units and full S for faster units. Any unit with artillery becomes slow. Can do a bayonnette charge to knock out unit. Then can do a raid to take cargo or kill officers.

Artillery can fire from L away, but soldiers fire S away.

Marines present a problem in comparison. Maybe allow marines, but not Army troops, to shoot from ships.

Can offload at colonies

Buy troops with gold

Officers:

  • Captain (captain) – allows move and shoot (3 points)
  • Engineer (helmsman) – allows passage through difficult terrain (rivers, mountains, etc) (2 points)
  • Quartermaster (shipwright) - replenishes ranks (2 points)
  • Artillery officer (L-range) – adds longer range (3 points)
  • Cavalry officer (helmsman) – makes L-range speed (3 points)
